Family Photography
We provide multiple options for family photography. We can photograph up to 15 family members in our studio, we can photograph your family in your home or yard, you can choose a favorite location, or you can let us suggest a location. We can also do a combination of location and studio photography and sessions will include a variety of poses, backgrounds and combinations of family members. We photograph couples, children, entire families, pets, and extended families. Please let us know if you have particular combinations of people you would like photographed and if you have certain poses in mind.

Family Session Tips
Pick Two or Three Colors – (one being a neutral) and put together outfits with those colors only. More than three colors can seem a bit busy. Neutrals include black, white, gray, khaki, etc. Think coordinating, not matching.
Add an Unexpected Pop of Color – Be aware that this pop will become a focal point in the picture. So, be cautious when adding this color in an area that you don’t want others to look at too closely.
Use Your Brightest Colors as Accessories – You don’t want the brightest colors detracting from the most important part of the picture: the people!
It is Okay to Mix Solids and Simple Patterns – Simple patters add interest and texture to a picture. If you stick to a color scheme, everything naturally blends together.
Think About Bringing Props – Especially with kids, incorporating props can make your pictures more personal and fun. Having a favorite toy there can give the kids something to think about and concentrate on when their attention span is just about shot.
Don’t Stress So Much About the Location – You are the most important part of your photographs! When it comes to location, simpler is always better. Remember the number one rule — if everyone is relaxed — especially you— your pictures will be vastly better for it!
Remember to Have Fun! – Sometimes the best portraits are the unexpected and candid moments. It’s okay to be silly and goofy!
Schedule – Schedule your session when your kids are going to have the most opportunities to be at their ‘best’. If at all possible, don’t schedule a session during their regular nap time, when they usually eat, etc.
